In October 2024 and 2025, the Rhinelander Curling Club hosted the first bonspiels ever help in Rhinelander at the Rhinelander Ice Arena. Each "Hodag Bonspiel" was a huge success! Fourty experience teams, along with twelve "Newbies" competed in separate 4-Event, 3-game guarantee bonspiels.
The curling, hospitality and camaraderie was EXCELLENT! We are so thankful to our volunteers, the Rhinelander Chamber of Commerce and the many local business sponsors who supported this "first-of-its-kind" event in Rhinelander.
Change is on the way in 2026.
The first ever Northwoods Bonspiel will be held October 16-18, 2026 at the Tomahawk Ice Arena, in Sara Park, Tomahawk, Wisconsin.
The Rhinelander Curling Club is excited to bring "The Grand Old Game" to a new venue and introduce our Sport to Tomahawk and surrounding communities
