I have never curled before, can I join? YES! We will teach you and your friends how to curl at one of our upcoming Learn2Curls or during League times. Once you complete a Learn2Curl, (or you have curled before somewhere else, you are ready to join and play in our pickup leagues.
Can I play on a team with my friends or family? YES! A curling team has four players (a fifth can be added as a substitute). We will make every effort to place you with your friends or family. We typically want to put an experienced player on or with your team as well to help you develop as a curler, understand strategy, etc. so playing with a four-person all new curler team is possible and you will always have an instructor nearby.
How many games are in a League? We will have 4 games in the Winter Sunday Evening League Session 1 and 10 games in the Winter Monday Morning League.
How much does it cost to play in a league? More detailed information can be found in the MEMBERSHIP page of the website. League Ice fees vary related to how many weeks are scheduled, but Membership Dues are currently $75 (less a $20 Learn2Curl rebate if eligible) and is good for a year and allows you to register for any league.
Do you have a junior program? Not yet! Our ice time is extremely limited and is at the generosity of the Rhinelander Ice Area. Our Leagues can accommodate juniors on a case-by-case basis. We hope to develop a junior/high school program in the future.
