A bonspiel is a curling tournament where teams come together for some fun and friendly competition. It's a great mix of curling, socializing, and good times! Bonspiels usually last a few days, with teams playing multiple games in different formats like round-robin or knockout rounds.
More than just a competition, bonspiels are all about connecting with other curlers, having fun, and enjoying the sport. Some even have themes, parties, or prizes to add to the excitement! Whether you're a seasoned curler or just looking for a good time on the ice, a bonspiel is the perfect way to dive into the spirit of curling!
The Bonspiel is Open format, and consists of two divisions, “Experienced” and “Newbies”. Newbies are those with at least two team members with 5 years or less experience.
The Tomahawk community is excited to welcome all of us! We'll have great ice thanks to Kevin Madsen, delicious food, beer and wine, and, of course, a fun scavenger hunt that will introduce you to many of Tomahawk's wonderful local merchants. We hope you will join us at Sara Park and enjoy the hospitality of the Tomahawk Community.
